How do we get from your room to the Radio?

This is a multiple step process. Many of my students already have a song that they are working on, while some are starting from scratch. There is no right or wrong! Let’s take what you have started and make a finished product!

Step 1: RECORDING TECHNIQUES: room treatment, mic placement, levels, and gain staging
Step 2: PRE-PRODUCTION: feedback forum for song structure, elements in track
Step 3: EDITING: assistance with cleaning up your track, including fades, tuning, and timing
Step 4: MIX FEEDBACK: assess current mix and offer advice to solidify your track
Step 5: MIXING TECHNIQUES: learn how to mix a song or expand your palette with new approaches
Step 6: MIXING: I’ll mix your song (two booked sessions required)
Step 7: MASTERING: I’ll master your song, polishing and preparing it for streaming platforms
Final Step: MIXING AND MASTERING: Three booked sessions including: final editing, full mixing and mastering.

Dustin Beardsley is a Brooklyn-based professional audio engineer, musician, and arranger. His background includes singer-songwriter projects, national Broadway tours, jazz ensembles, and horn sections. A versatile musician, he stays active both in live performance and the recording studio.
