Process: Lessons with me will run bi-weekly. In order to learn the most from this experience and complete a full artistic piece it will take you 6 courses with me. All classes will take place over zoom and lessons will be videoed live from my studio.
First Lesson: 1. If you wish to learn acrylic painting then you will need a set of multi sized acrylic brushes, a stretched white canvas size 11 x 14 and a paint pallet. 2. If you wish to learn watercolors you will need watercolor paper, one medium sized watercolor brush, watercolor paints, artists tape and a large piece of plexiglass. 3. If you wish to learn to draw portraits or characters you will need a sketchbook, Micron or ink pens and a pencil with a good eraser. 4. If you wish to learn any digital software you will need to come with your own computer or tablet as well as your own access to Procreate, Photoshop or Illustrator.
A Little Bit About Me:
Art has fed my soul since I could first pick up a pencil; once I had graduated to watercolors and acrylics, there was no going back.
Growing up on Long Island, studying at Lesley University College of Art and Design, and working for The Walt Disney World Company have each uniquely influenced my artistic style. I am thankful that each of these experiences have allowed me to grow as an artist and create lasting artistically inspired memories. Currently, I draw my inspiration from spending time in nature and in the small, lively and creative city of Portland, ME. Being surrounded by fellow creators has helped me to make time for what’s important, focus on new ideas and further develop my craft. Much of my work is also influenced by my love of pop culture and as some might say, my excessive knowledge of movies and music
Amidst the negative and often dark world we currently exist within, I use my art as a source of light. Rather than trying to escape from reality entirely, I choose to portray my own reality through a rose-colored lens, showing that the world truly is still a beautiful place. My art is my platform; a safe space for my voice. Website: www.tintedrosedesigns.com
